Marc Bescond received his master’s degree from INSA Lyon in 2001 and his Ph.D. degree from Aix-Marseille University in 2004. From 2005 to 2007, he was Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering and Physics at Grenoble INP. Before attending Grenoble, he was post-doc in the Device Modelling Group at the University of Glasgow. From 2007 to 2017, he was researcher at the CNRS (chargé de recherche) at the IM2NP, Aix-Marseille University. He is now visiting CNRS research fellow at LIMMS-CNRS at the University of Tokyo. His research interest is in the quantum transport modeling of nano/opto-electronic devices, and inelastic scattering in multi-dimensional simulations using the non-equilibrium Green’s function formalism. He is author of more than 100 research papers in leading journals and international conferences.
