Bio:
UralAnt Ural received his B.S.E. degree in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Princeton University, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. After completing his Ph.D. in 2001, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Chemistry and the Geballe Laboratory for Advanced Materials at Stanford University. He joined the University of Florida in 2003, where he is currently an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is also affiliated with the Nanoscience Institute for Medical and Engineering Technology. He has also spent a year as a visiting scientist in the Nanoscale Science Department of the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart, Germany. His current research interests are in emerging nanoscale electronic and photonic materials and devices. He is the recipient of an SCEEE Junior Faculty Development Award, as well as best paper awards at the MRS Meeting and at the ICDS-20 conference. He is a senior member of the IEEE.
